Only 50 Days Until Reval 2023 Northern Ireland

The Department of Finance is publishing the General Revaluation List of all commercial property on 1 April 2023, with the value placed on a property assessed on the open market on 1 October 2021.

With only 50 days until the new list comes into effect, ratepayers have limited time to challenge the rateable value of a property in the current 2020 Valuation List by the deadline of 31 March. Once this date has passed, there will be no further opportunity to benefit from any potential refunds that could have been awarded as a result of a successful challenge.

The draft Valuation List was published on 11 January 2023 and in preparation for the 2023 Valuation List going live, ratepayers have a short window of opportunity to ask LPS to review the proposed 2023 rateable values.

We are a family-run firm of local Chartered Surveyors offering a bespoke service which is dedicated to identifying and securing potential business rates savings, by reviewing the rateable value of a property set by Land & Property Services, challenging the rateable value, and securing potential refunds, reliefs and exemptions.
