John launched Gowlands in 2018 as a trusted regulated firm providing ratepayers with a dedicated rating consultancy service. John is a full member of the RICS and Rating Diploma Holders Section, and he is acknowledged as the only private sector surveyor in Northern Ireland to hold this qualification. 

With over 17 years in the rating industry across Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales, John has unparalleled knowledge of the sector. He has worked in the Valuation Office, where he undertook work in the areas of Non-domestic Rating.
